Shelf swap!  

My floating shelves were caving under dinner plate pressure!  Moved them and worked on these bad boys to replace them. Pretty pleased with the results. You?

Done. Worked on this all week. The table is not in great shape, in fact it's pretty warped somewhere. Can't figure out where but without adding giant floor protector nail thingy's to the bottom, this table could be a slide for small children. Oh well. It's scale is perfect in our little kitchen dining spot!  I love it. 

So here's the fabric for aunt amys chairs that i found at Y's buys for $1.99. Pretty retro right!?  Problem is, after sanding the table, just oiling it is not an option. Looks horrible. Plus one leg has been repaired so I'm going to paint it. I can't decide if all white, all black or table white, chairs black or vice versa. Opinions?  I'm thinking white table but chairs are undecided.

Too many projects and not enough time!  Boys are done w school may 15th already!  Let's see, oh yeah, my van died today, got a parking ticket downtown (apparently you can't park in reverse down there) and my table project has become huge. Plus my back is sore, think I pulled something major. Ugh. I'm still happy though cuz that's just how I roll. 

Almost there!  Here's our bedroom. Simple & clean. Not particularly thrilled with the current bedspread but it'll do for summer. Notice doors/trim and shiny black floor!  

Next it's 'the lounge'. Starting from left to right. Hopefully we can get another tv w cable up here eventually. 

I left out the far right photo of the turtles. Got a cool retro wood cart for them though which rolls so I can get to the bathroom to clean it when I need to. 

Last is my little office in the closet. It's not quite ready. I had a war with the walls finding studs so I have major touch up to do still. 

So, thoughts?  

Well, I'm almost finished with the upstairs floor project. It has been exhausting. I'm painting the closet now and have one more door to hang back up before I can start the fun stuff, like cleaning and moving everything around 50 ways to Sunday. I'm thinking about this book, seems appropriate to read soon!

I can do this sweet braid thing with my hair now but check out the size of my forehead, it's like grapefruit sized for crying out loud!  Also notice the silver/brown rootage. Ugh. I just want to be adorable. Is that too much to ask?  
I also feel like it looks like I had dental work done, my cheeks, what's the deal with those?  

Of course. I've finished one room and now the doors look dumb. Primer started. Why do I do this to myself?  This also means I'll have to paint interior door jamb frames. Hopefully, this will pay off!
