Minimal Foyer . . .

Here's my foyer. . . . simplified!

(I need white vent covers & light switches!)

Remember the big bookcase I moved?  It hides our ugly couch we hauled upstairs so perfectly!  It is the most comfortable couch e.v.e.r.  It is so not our style anymore but since it's hidden, I'm in love.

I've also been trying to get my hairstyle in check since I may or may not get a job.  So far, I have received three compliments in the last week from three separate people so I may be on the right track! Today I tried a very girly pony tail!  Those lower neck hairs are dumb though.

Kendra!  Ebay is SLOW.  The month of December and January were rockin', but it's been a downslide ever since.  Wah wah, poor me.  :)

MIA

Sorry I've been missing in action!

Kids had a long vacation, their computer is broken and I'm too nice to not let them use mine!

I'm researching jobs to apply for as well and this past week I finally found a few cool things for ebay so I've been cleaning up those items and getting them ready for next week.

Here's one of my best thrift finds, keeping it of course.  Original painting with wood frame, $2.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Valentines Baby

Since my brother and his wife just had a baby, I figured it was time to showcase mine!

He's not a baby, I realize that.

But he's mine.

He's creative (and freshly showered)!  Check out this Valentine Box he made based on one of his favorite video games, Portal.  It was quite the project and unfortunately he did not win 'most creative box' at school.  He's okay with it, he claims.  (We all know the truth).

And here he is being silly.  He has taken over my Mac since 'his' is in the shop.

That third picture of him laughing is one of my faves.

Of course there are many times where I repeat in my head . . 'he will grow up and move away' but overall I'm a lucky lucky girl!  :)

The monster bookcase . . updated?

Due to my winter doldrums, I moved this 7 foot oak bookcase my grandparents had made in the 80's, from the basement to the upstairs.  By myself.  I'm awesome that way.  Anyway, I had a split second of brilliance and turned two of the shelves vertical to mod it up a bit.  Does it look dumb?  The doldrums were relieved only while moving it, bunk.

I did buy a lottery ticket today so just a forewarning, I will be doldrum free Wednesday at 10pm when I win.
